The 3D Additivist Cookbook is my favorite thing I've seen in forever. The best hack is the Normal map (contributed by [Alan Warburton](http://cgwtf.com)) which you can apply to any model to make your 3D renders -look- like they've been 3D printed. ¡*genius*!
