## 2014
1. People are saying that 2014 was a bad year but for me this simply wasn't the case. This has actually been one of the most eventful and personally enriching years.
1. I was able to take last December completely off because of the [[OntwikkelingsgerichteBeurs]] I was granted by the Flemish Ministry of Culture. Basically that is a personal grant aewarded to independent artists in mid-career, which one can use to expand skills in order to make one's work better.
1. I ended up not doing the things in my original proposal. Going to Paris and taking a workshop at Studio Escalier[http://studioescalier.com] was a first step. 
1. But spending the month drawing from life and drawing at the Louvre, all day, every day had a tremendous effect.
